Young apprentices at HiPP regularly take part in campaigns for the protection of biodiversity. Under the guidance of the sustainability coordinator at HiPP, and with scientific accompaniment by NGOs, they get to know about relationships in nature and find out what they can do personally for the preservation of biodiversity. On top of that, they make a very real contribution to the protection of biodiversity by planting trees and setting up amphibian ponds.
Apprentices at HiPP do a lot for biodiversity
Against genetic engineering in plants
HiPP is actively against green genetic engineering and supports schools in teaching youngsters the risks of agricultural chemistry.
The balance between nature and species is a highly complex system with its own rules. For HiPP it is very important to stop the spread of GMOs which are dangerous at every level. This is why HiPP actively supports the school project “Life out of control”, with which the Bayrischer Lehrerverband e.V., the Bund Naturschutz in Bayern (BN) and the Bund Umwelt- und Naturschutz Deutschland (BUND) want to educate school children about genetic engineering in agriculture. HiPP sees itself as having a special responsibility for the prevention of the extreme depletion of species and breeds that occurs as a result of genetic engineering, and the resulting dramatic consequences for biodiversity. This is about nothing less than the basis for all life and therefore also the future of our children on our planet.
