Sustainability in the company’s organisation

For HiPP, sustainability is not a marketing gimmick. For over 50 years, we have been committed to organic farming. As a pioneering enterprise we have had great influence on sustainable standards. Our sustainability management focuses on the company as a whole as well as the entire value creation chain.

We also implement the established HiPP standards with our suppliers and producers to ensure that quality, environmental protection, and fair, social working conditions are guaranteed.

With us, sustainability is a matter of management

Sustainability management is in-built within our company management. Every company department appoints a responsible sustainability agent who actively works for the development and implementation of the objectives.

Documentation

In the Sustainability Report we publish all important company figures as well as our annual goals. All HiPP locations are certified according to the ISO 14001 standard. Pfaffenhofen was the first in 1997 and has also been validated according to EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme of the European Community).

Awards

2013 “Most Sustainable Company in Germany” – WirtschaftsWoche consumer survey
Consumers (8,400 survey participants) once again voted HiPP as the most sustainable company in Germany in 2013.

2013 “CSR Prize” from the German Federal Government
HiPP won this prize for its outstanding commitment in the areas of environment and community, company management, market and workplace (in the category 500 – 4,999 employees).

2012 “German Sustainability Prize”
HiPP received the award as one of the TOP 3 most sustainable companies in Germany.

2011 “German Solar Prize 2011”
EUROSOLAR, the European Association for Renewable Energy, honoured HiPP for the exemplary use of renewable energies.

2011 “The Honourable Businessman”
The Ordinance on Collective Capital Investments (KKV) honoured the ethical handling of companies of their employees, customers and society. Benchmarks are also civil commitment, business courage and fair management.

2010 “Entrepreneur of the Year”

This award is for the development of economic power, a special sense of responsibility and social commitment.

2009 “German Sustainability Prize” in the category “Best purchasing” went to HiPP for the careful and sustainable purchasing of raw materials.
